Suggested Activation Conditions |
Getter Mercury Dispenser shall be activated by high frequency induced loop, laser or other means to release Mercury. Suggested activation conditions are 875±25℃ and 30s. If the activating can not reach 875℃, the time shall be prolonged to release the Mercury completely Low Temperature Amalgam should be activated before ageing so as to release partial mercury. The recommended activation conditions is 100℃×5 min. |
Caution |
When put in vacuum, Getter Mercury Dispenser begin to release Mercury around 500℃. Therefore, extra high temperature shall be avoided during the baking and exhaustion procedure lest the lost of Mercury. The low melting point amalgam shall be used in short time, and those that haven't used shall be kept in inert gas to prevent from surface oxidation and contamination. The temperature of the tube filled with low temperature amalgam getter shall be lower than 40℃ lest the amalgam agglomeration and effect amalgam fluidity and the loss of mercury. To ensure the heating temperature and time to get sufficient and stable mercury yield. Once the original packing has been opened, getter shall be used up soon and usually it shall not be exposed to the ambient atmosphere more than 24 hours. Prolonged storage of getter after the original packing has been opened shall be always in a dry atmosphere. |
